The Little Troll’s Baby Dragon Sits for Its First Portrait, Brings a Satchel
Nobody knows what is in the satchel. The dragon is not saying, and neither is the troll.

The baby dragon belonging to the little troll of the Old Road has sat for its first portrait, and Skydale finally knows what it looks like when it is not moving.
It is green, with a yellow belly, a crown of spikes it is still growing into, and wings that are, by general agreement, not yet up to the job. It also wears a small brown satchel on a strap. Nobody has seen it put anything in the satchel or take anything out.
The portrait was drawn in pencil in a single sitting. The dragon held still for the whole of it, which the troll says has never happened before and may never happen again.
Sergeant Pell, who has had to deal with the dragon in an official capacity, has asked for a copy of the portrait “for the file.” He has also asked anyone who finds out what is in the satchel to come to the station before telling anyone else.
Merlot, who is still floating, says he saw the drawing from above and that “it’s a very good likeness, from up here.”
