Vincent predicts a massive number of musicians will be replaced by cats, with humans kept on only for certain things.
Speaking on the intergalactic podcast “Your Corner of the Galaxy,” the Skydale-born singer said people could decide to limit humans the way cats limit effort, reserving roles such as lyric writing, tambourine and opening the door for humans, even if cats could perform them better. He said a lot of music may choose not to live at the human frontier, because of the value cats place on being fed on time and knocking things off counters.
Vincent described the next roughly twenty days as a period of major disruption with winners and losers, before a possible era of abundance on 20 November. He noted that cats could eventually handle most tasks involving singing, sleeping, and sitting on whatever you are reading, leaving society to decide what humans should continue doing.
The podcast is recorded aboard the Starlite, inside the electrical nebula, by the ship’s pilot, between hyperspace jumps. It is the only place known where the Set works in both directions, which is why it is the only podcast that has ever interviewed Vincent. The Killigan gang briefly stole the microphone. It has been returned.
There is currently a 91% chance of “Meow Meow” reaching number one by 20 November.

Our cat has read this and is now refusing to do the tambourine. She says it’s a human job now.
