“Starlite” Review: A Pilot, a Collapsing World, and the Worst Bandits in the Galaxy
Four stars. The Killigan gang steals every scene, and most of the ship.
· 1 min read

“Starlite,” now showing at the Ferrule Street Picture House, is the story of a pilot who takes the ship of the same name into hyperspace to save a world that is falling apart. Unfortunately for her, the Killigan gang is on board.
The Killigans, billed as “the fiercest bandits in the galaxy,” are the best thing in it. They steal the snacks, the steering, and at one point the plot. The pilot spends most of the second act trying to fly the ship and most of the third trying to get it back.
The final sequence, a long flight into an electrical nebula, is the most beautiful thing on a Skydale screen this year, including the Set.
Four stars. Bring a coat; the Picture House heating is broken again.
