Lakeside Stroll Ends in Gold Theft; Suspect Described as “Very Cute”
Police warn walkers that the troll by the lake is not as nice as he looks.

A man out for an evening walk along Skydale Lake has reported the loss of all his gold after stopping to talk to what he described as “a nice troll.”
“He was tiny. He was cute. He seemed completely harmless,” the man told this newspaper. “We had a lovely chat about the ducks.” When he got home, the gold was gone. He did not see it happen. He never does, according to police, who say the trolls by the lake are very good at this.
It is not clear whether this is the same troll who has been floating wizards in the park. Sergeant Pell says the lake troll “has a different style” and “much better manners,” but asked the public not to be fooled by either.
Officers are advising walkers to keep their gold at home, to stroll in pairs, and not to get into conversations about ducks.

Again: do not discuss ducks with strangers by the lake.

He was very cute. I want to stress that. I’d still like the gold back.
